Grains futures fall, livestock prices mixed

[August 04, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures fell Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for September delivery shed 18.25 cents to $6.75 a bushel; September corn dropped 5.5 cents to $3.85 a bushel; September oats were flat at $2.765 a bushel; and soybeans for November delivery fell 11 cents to $9.99 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle dropped 0.47 cent to 93.95 cents a pound; September feeder cattle added 0.33 cent to $1.1295 a pound; October lean hogs shed 0.35 cent to 79.25 cents a pound; and August pork bellies jumped 3 cents to 109.50 cents a pound.
