Grains futures, livestock prices rise

[August 05, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures jumped Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for September delivery soared 30 cents to $7.10 a bushel; September corn added 5.5 cents to $3.95 a bushel; September oats gained 3.5 cents to $2.785 a bushel; and soybeans for November delivery rose 6 cents to $10.24 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle added 0.65 cent to 94.87 cents a pound; September feeder cattle rose 0.53 cent to $1.1335 a pound; October lean hogs edged up 0.08 cent to 79 cents a pound; and August pork bellies jumped 4.5 cents to 114 cents a pound.
