Logan County 4-H Foundation presents scholarships

[August 11, 2010]  The Logan County 4-H Foundation recently presented scholarships to five Logan County 4-H members at 4-H Night during the Logan County Fair.

Mathew Runyon, son of Dale and Roberta Runyon and a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, receives a $400 Xamis/4-H Foundation Scholarship. Mathew is currently attending Heartland Community College, and after receiving his associate degree in science, he plans to continue his studies and go into organic chemistry.

Zack Huffer, son of Jeff and Patty Huffer and a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, receives a $400 4-H Foundation Scholarship. Zack will attend Illinois State University this fall and plans to major in history with a minor in environmental studies.

Daniel Fulton, son of John and Sherry Fulton and a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, receives a $400 Ross Conrady Memorial/4-H Foundation Scholarship. Daniel will be in the Pathways program through dual enrollment in Parkland College and University of Illinois this fall and will major in crop science.

David Fulton, son of John and Sherry Fulton and a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, receives a $400 Ross/4-H Foundation Scholarship. David will also be in the Pathways program and have dual enrollment at Parkland College and University of Illinois this fall. He will major in agriculture education, with plans to teach at the high school level and be an FFA adviser in the future.

Kristin Bishop, daughter of David Bishop and Donna Bishop of Atlanta and a recent Olympia High School graduate, receives a $400 Graue Inc./4-H Foundation Scholarship. Kristin will attend the University of Illinois this fall and will major in nursing.
