[August 13, 2010]  WATKINSVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Sheriff's deputies in Georgia say an armed robber emptied the cash register at a video store, then told the clerk he had a drug problem and was sorry for the stickup.

The suspect fled toward a couple of schools Wednesday morning in the town of Watkinsville, about 60 miles east of Atlanta. The schools were briefly locked down.

Vision Video clerk Zach Henderson says he was talking on his cell phone at the store when he walked out of a back room and was confronted by the robber. He says the robber asked him to hang up and hand him the cash.

Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry says about 40 law enforcement officers from around the state broke up a training session to search for the suspect. Police are still looking for the robber.
