[August 13, 2010]  CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) --  After a call from his mother, Rex Ryan has apologized for using profanity in the premiere episode of "Hard Knocks."

HardwareThe New York Jets' brash coach said sometimes he doesn't realize he's being so foul-mouthed.

Ryan said he got a call from his mother after the uncensored episode aired Wednesday night. A playful Ryan apologized if he "offended more people than I usually offend." He also said he's just being himself.

Ryan called the HBO show an entertaining look at his team. Several players watched from their dormitory rooms, including defensive lineman Sione Pouha, who liked it so much he watched it twice.

Jason Taylor said he didn't watch, because "the last thing you want to do is watch training camp on TV."
