Grains futures rise, livestock prices mostly drop

[August 14, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures rose Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for December delivery added 4.25 cents to $7.48 a bushel; December corn gained 4.5 cents to $4.2625 a bushel; December oats rose 2.5 cents to $2.875 a bushel; while soybeans for November delivery rose 9 cents to $10.375 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle shed 0.20 cent to 95.10 cents a pound; October feeder cattle dropped 0.35 cent to $1.1192 a pound; October lean hogs added 0.38 cent to 75 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 0.25 cent to 105 cents a pound.
