 The Wolverines displayed a balanced offensive attack, with 12 hits
on the day. Jordan Yarcho led the offense with a home run, a single,
three RBIs and two runs scored. Brayden Curry, Levi Curry and Kyle
Fitzpatrick added two hits each. Payton Ebelherr had a double,
single and an RBI. Brycen Hicks had a hit and an RBI. Preston
Ebelherr had a hit and a run scored.Payton Ebelherr (1-0) got the
win on the mound, allowing only two hits over 6 1/3 innings pitched.
He had eight strikeouts while allowing only one walk. Yarcho got the
save, pitching the final two-thirds inning and striking out one
Heyworth batter.
In the second game, Heyworth defeated WL-B 6-2.
Josiah Smith had a single and run scored. Devin Smith had a
single and an RBI. Jack Eimer pitched a scoreless inning.
WL-B plays next at 4 p.m. Monday at Athens.
