Historic Elkhart Hill tours Sept. 25

[August 23, 2010]  ELKHART -- The final public tours of Elkhart Hill in 2010 will be on Sept. 25. The tour includes historical and political sites, Elkhart and Latham cemeteries, and will stop at the Gov. Oglesby mausoleum and the Capt. Bogardus gravesite.

Tours will depart from downtown Elkhart at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and each outing will last approximately 90 minutes. Participants will ride in the Elkhart Historical Society's tour wagon.

Reservations are required. The cost is $10 for adults, $7.50 for seniors 60 and over, and $5 for children 12 and under. Registration closes on Sept. 20.
