Pine Lodge Farm barn restoration

On Saturday there was a very interesting barn raising finale on the old James T. and Betty Hickey farm outside of Elkhart, which is now owned by Phil and Ruth Austin.
Phil is a former resident of the Lake Fork area, attended one year at Mount Pulaski High School and then finished up in Lincoln, where he also attended Lincoln College. He had retired from retail but now is back in it again as well as real estate in California, where he and Ruth have been living for many years.
This barn had been the scene of many parties in yesteryear but was blown to bits by the 2009 tornado. Jim Irish was the restoration contractor.
About 120 were in attendance at the party. Betty Hickey is the lady in the first two pictures.
