Grains prices rise, livestock futures trade mixed

[August 27, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures rose Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery rose 8 cents to $6.885 a bushel; December corn jumped 12 cents to $4.32 a bushel; December oats added 5 cents to $2.795 a bushel; and November soybeans gained 15.5 cents to $10.145 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle shed 0.17 cent to 98.50 cents a pound; October feeder cattle edged up 0.05 cent to $1.1745 a pound; October lean hogs dropped 1.30 cents to 75.80 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were unchanged at $1.0525 a pound.
