Intrepid new aerialist photographer Sharon Fak took to the skies last night during the 2010 Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival media launch. Clear skies, little wind and low humidity made for a perfect night as Sharon took a ride on Good Greeph, owned by Jim and Theresa Phelan and sponsored by Hicksgas.

The first important thing is to get the balloon upright.

At launch there is a bit of a traffic jam.

The balloons head toward the LCU campus.

A clear, grassy spot is always best for landing.

Looking down on hot air balloon Movin Up, owned by Seth Goodman of ME Realty.

A gentle landing at LCU.

Using the "squeezer" to get all the air out of the balloon.

Wally is all right. It just looks like he had a hard landing.
