Grains prices mostly rise, livestock futures drop

[August 28, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures mostly rose Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for December delivery rose 6.5 cents to $6.95 a bushel; December corn added 4 cents to $4.36 a bushel; December oats shed 1 cent to $2.785 a bushel; while November soybeans gained 11.5 cents to $10.26 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded flat or lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle shed 0.42 cent to 98.10 cents a pound; October feeder cattle dropped 0.48 cent to $1.1697 a pound; October lean hogs slid 0.90 cent to 74.90 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were unchanged at $1.0525 a pound.
