LC coach Mark Tippett commented: "We did not show up to play at all in the first set against PSC, but we got off to a better start in set two, which brought our confidence level up and allowed us to compete better the rest of the day. Kirkwood has a very strong, athletic team, and I was proud of the way we stepped up our intensity to meet that challenge. We showed real signs of being able to compete at a very high level today, but we still have a lot of work to do."
