Saturday afternoon at the Logan County Airport there were plenty of activities to participate in before the launch and balloon glow. As evening approached, the wind picked up a bit and pilots were told at their meeting that they could use their own discretion in deciding whether or not to launch. In the end only seven balloons went up, but at the glow everyone participated, much to the delight of the huge crowd that had gathered for the event.

At the south end of the airport, Reverend Ed and the Sunday Drive entertained a large audience.

Reverend Ed is a local band playing rock and blues.

As the crowds gather, many are attracted to the food vendors on the midway.

The Logan County Emergency Management Agency horse patrol keeps an eye on things.

Cruising the parking lot, ready to offer rides to anyone who wishes.

The beauty of the glow.
