Grains futures jump, livestock prices trade mixed

[December 02, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures jumped Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery jumped 49.5 cents to $7.40 a bushel; March corn gained 22.25 cents to $5.6625 a bushel; March oats rose 13 cents to $3.63 a bushel; while soybeans for January delivery surged 40 cents to $12.83 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle added 0.40 cent to $1.0677 a pound; January feeder cattle dropped 0.77 cent to $1.1840 a pound; February lean hogs slid 0.52 cent to 75.25 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0450 a pound.
