Wednesday, Dec. 1, the swearing in of county officials took place in the third-floor courtroom of Judge Thomas Harris. Sally Litterly, the county clerk and recorder of deeds, and Sheriff Steve Nichols were incumbents. Mary Kelley, the new circuit clerk, and Vicki Dugan, the new county treasurer, are beginning their first elected terms. A group picture is in today's Community section.
