Grains futures rise, livestock prices trade mixed

[December 04, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures rose Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery jumped 30.5 cents to $7.79 a bushel; March corn gained 18 cents to $5.735 a bushel; March oats rose 6 cents to $3.67 a bushel; while soybeans for January delivery added 20.5 cents to $13.0025 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle dropped 0.10 cent to $1.0637 a pound; March feeder cattle added 0.05 cent to $1.1947 a pound; February lean hogs rose 0.57 cent to 76.57 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0450 a pound.
