Not exactly a scoop: Frigid temps greet morning commuters

[December 06, 2010]  The National Weather Service had forecast a warmer-than-usual November, and few can argue about the month's unusually warmer days.

InsuranceBut if the forecast of a warmer-than-usual December is going to happen, then we will need a very warm end to the month.

Today's morning temperature hung around 12 degrees, with a wind chill making it feel like 7.

Highs today and tomorrow are forecast at 22 degrees, with lows in the lower teens. Then on Wednesday, temps will get close to normal, with highs around the freezing point and lows in the 20s, but don't break your summer clothes out just yet.

The long-range forecast shows temperatures could drop to near zero over the weekend.

Currently some light snowfall is predicted for Thursday and the weekend.

A warm-up is expected for next week, with highs above the freezing mark.
