[December 09, 2010]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Jeffrey Tambor will replace Kelsey Grammer in Broadway's latest revival of "La Cage aux Folles" (lah-KAJ'-oh-fahl).

Tambor will star as Georges opposite Harvey Fierstein (FY'-ur-steen), who is himself replacing Douglas Hodge in the role of Albin.

InsuranceTambor made his Broadway debut in 1976 in the comedy "Sly Fox."

He is best known for his TV roles as Hank Kingsley in "The Larry Sanders Show" and his portrayal of twin brothers in "Arrested Development." He was last seen on Broadway in David Mamet's "Glengarry Glen Ross."

"La Cage aux Folles" made history this year as the first show to ever win the Tony Awards three times for best production.

Tambor and Fierstein will begin performances on Feb. 15 at the Longacre Theatre.
