"GRI always motivates and initiates my ability to implement
the Internet in a helpful and beneficial way to previous, current
and potential clients. I believe that the knowledge gained in this
graduate course makes me a better Realtor because it allows me to
better serve my clients," Hudson said.
The institute is conducted each year by the Illinois Association
of Realtors for the benefit of its 45,000 members. Attendance is
voluntary, and successful completion of the three undergraduate
courses leads to the professional designation of GRI, Graduate
Realtor Institute of Illinois. Each of the courses covers different
aspects of the real estate industry and goes into more detail than
is required by the state of Illinois' real estate licensing law.
Graduate courses cover specialized areas of the real estate
industry.
Institute courses include advanced material about such subjects
as contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing,
auctions, license law, and escrow.
Institute faculty members come from across the nation. Each is a
recognized authority in the practice of real estate, financing and
law, as well as being an experienced instructor.
