Knights of Columbus prepare Christmas baskets

For over 30 years the Lincoln Knights of Columbus have been preparing and distributing what they call their Christmas baskets. But it is far more than a basket. Boxes are filled with not only food to prepare a Christmas dinner for a family, but they also include other staples such as eggs, butter, cereal and pancake mix to help a family have enough nutritious food for the holiday weekend.

This year the Knights will distribute 104 such boxes of food throughout the city.

The Knights want to thank all the individuals and businesses who contribute to this annual expression of community spirit and giving. And we want to thank the Knights for all their hard work and dedication to helping those who could use a little help every Christmas.
