Grains futures, livestock prices rise

[December 21, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) --  Grains futures rose Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery added 12.75 cents to $7.695 a bushel; March corn gained 3 cents to $5.995 a bushel; March oats rose 4 cents to $3.905 a bushel; while soybeans for January delivery climbed 16.5 cents to $13.1525 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded flat or higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle added 0.72 cent to $1.0522 a pound; March feeder cattle gained 2.22 cents to $1.2217 a pound; February lean hogs rose 0.12 cent to 76.07 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.06 a pound.
