Meagher begins new county job

Retiring Marlin to have receptions

[December 20, 2010]  Pam Meagher of Lincoln has been selected as the new administrative assistant and insurance administrator for the Logan County Board. She will replace JoAnne Marlin, who has served in the position for 19 years.

Meagher most recently has served as an audit assistant and bookkeeper for her mother-in-law, Helen Meagher, CPA. She has also worked for the Federated Funeral Directors of America and at the State Farm Insurance corporate office in Bloomington.

Meagher and her husband, Kevin, make their home in Lincoln with their three children.

"It will be a challenge to fill JoAnne's shoes, but I'm excited to be involved in county government," Meagher said of her new position.

Marlin will be recognized for her service with a reception in the courthouse rotunda after the county board meeting on Tuesday and at a daytime reception on Jan. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the county board room.
