Grain futures trade higher; livestock prices fall

[December 29, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures traded higher Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for March delivery gained 18 cents to $7.9825 a bushel; March corn added 8 cents to $6.2325 a bushel; March oats edged up 0.50 cent to $3.89 a bushel; while soybeans for March delivery climbed 2.50 cents to $13.87 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures were down or flat on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle dropped 0.15 cent to $1.0780 a pound; March feeder cattle was down 0.22 cent at $1.2345 a pound; February lean hogs fell 0.23 cent to 78.62 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were unchanged at $1.0625 a pound.
