Grain futures mixed; livestock prices mostly rise

[December 30, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures traded mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery added 1 cent to $7.9925 a bushel; March corn edged up 0.75 cent to $6.24 a bushel; March oats dropped 4.5 cents to $3.845 a bushel; while soybeans for March delivery fell 10 cents to $13.77 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle gained 0.45 cent to $1.0825 a pound; March feeder cattle added 0.62 cent to $1.2407 a pound; February lean hogs rose 0.98 cent to 79.60 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were unchanged at $1.0625 a pound.
