Grain futures rise; livestock prices mostly rise

[January 01, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures were up Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery added 9.50 cents to $7.9425 a bushel; March corn rose 13 cents to $6.29 a bushel; March oats gained 6.25 cents to $3.94 a bushel; while soybeans for March delivery added 27 cents to $14.03 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle added 1.03 cent to $1.0835 a pound; March feeder cattle rose 1.03 cent to $1.2395 a pound; February lean hogs rose 0.90 cent to 79.75 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were unchanged at $1.0650 a pound.
