Supports Maxheimer

To the editor:

Congratulations, residents of Logan County! In this day and age of political corruption, you have the opportunity to choose your next Logan County circuit clerk from a field of three highly qualified candidates. This speaks volumes about your local county government.

Having taught school in Logan County for over 30 years, I have had the privilege to meet and form friendships with many wonderful people. One of those friends I met through our family's participation in the Logan County 4-H and the Logan County Simmental Association. It has been a pleasure to know and work with Suzann Maxheimer over the past 15 years. She has always impressed me as a person who is down-to-earth, straight-forward and believes in hard work. Suzann is proud to serve her county and community. She also enjoys working with the future leaders of Logan County through 4-H. I feel that you are very fortunate to have Suzann Maxheimer representing you in the office of the circuit clerk. Since being appointed by the county board, she has proven that she CAN and WILL CONTINUE to do her best to serve you, the citizens of Logan County.

So one might ask why a registered voter from Sangamon County would be writing a letter to the editor about this specific race. What do I have to gain or lose from the outcome? The answer is simple: nothing. But you do, so I would hope that you will vote to support Suzann Maxheimer for Logan County circuit clerk on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Sincerely,

Susan Foran
Williamsville
