Accident reports for Monday, Feb. 8

Hit-and-run on Decatur Street Jan. 29

  • Linda J. Harvey, 59, Lincoln; 1998 Dodge Dakota

Harvey said she parked her vehicle at a business on Decatur Street on Jan. 29 and left the vehicle unattended for 30 minutes. When she came out and left, she didn't notice the damage to her vehicle. On Jan. 30 she reported the damage, saying that she remembered that the day before there was a white or whitish-colored full-size pickup parked nearby when she left her vehicle, and it was gone when she returned.

Damage was sustained to the side rear quarter panel and the cab of her vehicle.

Hit-and-run on North Kickapoo

Patton reported that her vehicle was parked in the 1800 block of North Kickapoo when it was struck by an unknown vehicle.

Parking incident at Lincoln Junior High School Feb. 4

  • Michael A. Stonecipher, 35, Lincoln; 1999 Dodge Ram

  • Brittney L. Skelton, 31, Lincoln; 2005 Pontiac Grand Am SE

The drivers reported that they were both parked at Lincoln Junior High School. Stonecipher attempted to leave his parking spot and backed into the Skelton vehicle.

Lincoln Police Department reports for Monday, Feb. 8

  • Lewein, Gary J., 47-year-old male, West Bend; no arrest date listed; arrested at the intersection of Woodlawn and Taylor Court on Class A charges of driving under the influence. Vehicle towed.

  • Meyers, Jesse J., 26-year-old male, San Jose; arrested Feb. 6 at the intersection of Woodlawn and Lincoln Parkway. Class 2 -- theft between $10,000 and $100,000, Class A -- driving with no valid license. Vehicle towed.

  • Rott, Ann A., 31-year-old female, Phoenix, N.Y.; arrested Feb. 6 in the 1300 block of Woodlawn on Class C charges of disorderly conduct.

  • Williams, Brittain D., 20-year-old male, Chicago; arrested Feb. 7 at the intersection of North Logan and Lincoln Avenue on Class C charges of possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams.

Logan County Sheriff's Department reports for Monday, Feb. 8

  • Chase, Barry K., 19-year-old male, Decatur; arrested Feb. 7 at the intersection of West Morgan and North Spring in Mount Pulaski on two charges: Class A -- obstructing a peace officer and Class C -- possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams. Vehicle towed.

  • Matson, Melanie A.., 49-year-old female, Elkhart; arrested Feb. 5 in the 2900 block of Woodlawn in Lincoln on two Logan County warrants, both Class A failure to appear with attachments of contempt. Bond $500 total cash.

Illinois State Police reports for Monday, Feb. 8

  • Fitzgerald, Patrick J., 25-year-old male, Florissant, Mo.; arrested Feb. 7 on Interstate 55 southbound at milepost 113; Class A -- possession of drug paraphernalia and Class C -- possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams. Evidence confiscated was one pipe and the cannabis. Bond $1,000, 10 percent.

  • Marion, Patrick C., 40-year-old male, Milwaukee, Wis.; arrested Feb. 7 on Interstate 55 northbound at milepost 114 on a Winnebago County warrant for failure to appear related to charges of driving with a license suspended. Bond $10,000, 10 percent.

  • Peters, Lavar T., 30-year-old male, Chicago; arrested Feb. 7 on Interstate 55 northbound at milepost 123; Class C -- possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams. Cannibas was confiscated and vehicle towed.
