Red Lions men defeat Crusaders

[February 08, 2010]  The Red Lions men's basketball team of Lincoln Christian University handed the Crusaders of Great Lakes Bible College a 93-59 defeat Saturday.

LCU (14-6) was led by Kevin Watson, who had 19 points and 14 rebounds; Troy Lane with 14 points and four rebounds; Chris Lawson with 11 points, three rebounds; and Sam Ernst with 10 points, six rebounds. Six other Red Lions were in on the scoring.

Great Lakes placed three players in double figures: Marcus Anthony with 19 points, Mark Davis 13 and Darian Bruse 10.

LCU shot 46 percent from the field, 51 percent from the free-throw stripe and outrebounded Great Lakes 61-40.

LCU will travel to St. Louis Christian College on Tuesday evening.
