Alaskan dies in fall in snow while smoking

[February 12, 2010]  FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) -- A woman found dead in her yard at Fairbanks apparently went outside for a smoke and fell in the snow.

Alaska state troopers say 51-year-old Sherri Bouton was unresponsive when she was found Wednesday morning and likely died of exposure.

Temperatures in Fairbanks hit a low of minus 2 degrees Wednesday.
