Zion Lutheran wins 3rd in Saturday tournament

[February 15, 2010]  The Lady Eagles seventh-grade volleyball team of Zion Lutheran School in Lincoln won third place in the eight-team Zion Lutheran/West Lincoln-Broadwell tournament held on Saturday at the two schools. Zion lost to C-EL in three games in the first match and then went on to win its next three matches with Calvary Academy, Athens and Lutheran School Association.

Participating teams were Zion Lutheran, Athens, Chester-East Lincoln, Calvary Academy, West Lincoln-Broadwell, Midwest Central, Greenview and Decatur Lutheran School Association.

Tori Hoban had 37 service aces for the Lady Eagles in the tournament.
