Mount Pulaski planning 175th birthday celebration

[February 13, 2010]  MOUNT PULASKI -- An invitation is being extended to everyone who wants to be a part of the committee that is forming to make plans for the celebration of Mount Pulaski's 175th birthday.

HardwareThe group will meet the first and third Saturday of each month at the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall on the square. Tom Martin, committee chairman, has announced that the next meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Feb. 20.

The main celebration will be the weekend of July 1-4, 2011. The committee encourages all alumni and families and former Pulaskians and their families to return for the weekend of festivities. Everyone is asked to spread the word to family, friends, classmates and former residents to come and celebrate Mount Pulaski's 175 years.
