Extension offers youth cooking class

[February 17, 2010]  University of Illinois Extension in Logan County is offering a youth cooking class for ages 10 and older. The class will be on Feb. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m.

HardwareThose in attendance will learn new recipes, food safety and cooking skills. The class will include recipes from various sections of MyPyramid and will use a number of different cooking methods, including microwave, stovetop and oven.

The cost is $8.

For further information or to register to attend the class, contact the Extension office at 732-8289. The deadline for registration is Monday.
