Agriculture futures slide on the CBOT

[February 19, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures slid Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for March delivery dropped 9.75 cents to $4.85 a bushel, while March corn fell 2.75 cents to $3.5725 a bushel and oats for March delivery lost 3 cents to $2.35 a bushel. March soybeans shed 3.5 cents to $9.48 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle edged up 0.9 cent to 93.05 cents a pound; March feeder cattle added 0.9 cent to $1.0247 a pound; April lean hogs rose 1.07 cents to 70.27 cents a pound; and March pork bellies gained 1.83 cents to 85.6 cents a pound.
