[February 19, 2010]  MIAMI (AP) -- Authorities say a body fell out of a plane that traveled to Miami from the Dominican Republic.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the body fell from the wheel well of an Amerijet cargo flight as it left the Dominican Republic on Thursday afternoon. The flight arrived in Florida about two hours later.

Bergen said the plane landed without incident at Miami International Airport and was taken to a remote spot for an inspection.

Miami-Dade police directed questions to authorities in the Dominican Republic.

A telephone message left with an Amerijet spokeswoman was not immediately returned.
