[February 19, 2010]  WHISTLER, British Columbia (AP) -- Olympic competitors in four-man and women's bobsledding are being given the option of taking supplementary training runs from a lower start on the difficult Vancouver Games track.

HardwareWomen's sleds may take two extra optional runs Friday night. Four-man bobsledders who are not competing in the two-man competition may take two extra runs Saturday and Sunday, and all four-man bobsled pilots are eligible for two extra runs Monday.

International Bobsled and Tobogganing Federation president Robert Storey says the runs were added "out of an abundance of caution."

A Georgian men's luge competitor died after a high-speed training crash on the track last week.
