Upcoming blood drives in Logan County

[February 22, 2010]  SPRINGFIELD -- The Central Illinois Community Blood Center is offering several opportunities to donate blood in Logan County. These blood drives need your help with blood donations for patients in area hospitals.

  • Monday, March 1 -- Lincoln Masonic Center, 2022 N. Kickapoo; noon-6 p.m.

  • Thursday, March 4 -- Elkhart Christian Church, 1130 S. Gillett; 3-6 p.m.

  • Friday, March 5 -- Mount Pulaski High School, 206 S. Spring; 8 a.m.-noon

In addition, the CICBC donor room, 1134 S. Seventh St. in Springfield, is open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Appointments at any blood drive or the donor center may be scheduled online at or by calling toll-free 1-866-GIVE-BLD (1-866-448-3253), ext. 131. Walk-ins are also always welcome

The Central Illinois Community Blood Center is a not-for-profit organization that provides blood to 19 area hospitals. Blood collected at these drives is intended for local hospitals.
