Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[February 24, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for March delivery dropped 9.5 cents to $4.9175 a bushel, while March corn fell 3.75 cents to $3.6775 a bushel and oats for March delivery lost 1.5 cents to $2.265 a bushel. March soybeans slid 9 cents to $9.525 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures also traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle edged down 0.8 cent to 92.42 cents a pound; March feeder cattle fell 0.67 cent to $1.0115 a pound; April lean hogs shed 0.85 cent to 69.45 cents a pound; and March pork bellies lost 2.8 cents to 84 cents a pound.
