[February 23, 2010]  State Bank of Lincoln, as trustee of the Lucille Flick Larson Scholarship Trust, announces that the bank is now accepting applications for 2010 scholarship awards.

This scholarship was established in 1994 by Arthur Larson in memory of his wife. Mrs. Larson taught school for 38 years. She was a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, and she also attended Lincoln College, Normal Teachers' College and the University of Michigan. Throughout her career she dedicated herself to excellence in education and provided a caring haven for her students. The income from the scholarship trust fund provides scholarships for students from Lincoln Community High School District 404 who are attending any college or university with the intention of becoming full-time teachers following their college graduation.

Applications are available at the office of the Lincoln Community High School guidance counselors. Additional information and applications may be obtained by contacting Gail L. Nunnery, vice president and trust officer, State Bank of Lincoln, 111 N. Sangamon St., P.O. Box 529, Lincoln, IL 62656; phone 735-5551, ext. 309; or gnunnery@sblincoln.com. Completed applications and other information must be received by April 21.
