Agriculture futures slide on the CBOT

[February 26, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures slid Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for March delivery dropped 10.5 cents to $4.8975 a bushel, while March corn lost 3 cents to $3.7225 a bushel and oats for March delivery fell 2.25 cents to $2.1975 a bushel. March soybeans sank 14 cents to $9.415 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded lower and pork futures climbed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle slipped 0.17 cent to 91.75 cents a pound; March feeder cattle lost 0.25 cent to $1.009 a pound; April lean hogs advanced 1.77 cents to 72.12 cents a pound; and March pork bellies added 1.52 cents to 86.22 cents a pound.
