Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[February 27, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures advanced Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for May delivery jumped 15.5 cents to $5.1925 a bushel, while May corn rose 5.75 cents to $3.89 a bushel and oats for May delivery edged up 1 cent to $2.305 a bushel. May soybeans gained 11 cents to $9.61 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures also traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle inched up 0.17 cent to 91.92 cents a pound; April feeder cattle added 0.25 cent to $1.025 a pound; April lean hogs rose 0.68 cent to 72.8 cents a pound; and May pork bellies climbed 3 cents to 91.3 cents a pound.
