[February 27, 2010]  PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) -- A U.S. military spokesman in Haiti says six American soldiers involved in the aid mission have come down with malaria.

U.S. Army Col. Billy J. Buckner says one of the soldiers was evacuated for treatement. Buckner says, "At last update, the soldier was improving."

The spokesman says the other five soldiers are recovering and all are scheduled to return to their duties.
