[February 04, 2010]  LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Hollywood's awards season is just beginning, and Kevin Bacon has already won.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association says it will honor the 51-year-old actor for his philanthropic work at its Critics' Choice Awards on Jan. 15. Bacon will receive the Joel Siegel Award, which recognizes entertainers' charitable works.

Bacon is being honored for his Web site SixDegrees.org, which invites visitors to contribute to their favorite causes. Since its launch three years ago, the site has attracted nearly $3 million in donations.
