Logan County 4-H recognizes achievements

[February 04, 2010]  This year the Logan County 4-H clubs had their own 4-H achievement recognition program.

Some 4-H'ers are chosen each year in special award categories. A book is presented to a 4-H'er with outstanding work, quantity, quality, years, citizenship, leadership, participation, skill acquisition and growth. These are given in three age categories: 8-10, 11-13 and 14-19 years of age. A Blue Award is given to a 4-H'er deserving of repeat recognition in a category. In the 14-19 age category, medal awards are nationally sponsored and may be received only once in each curriculum area. The top award winners in the major award categories for 2009 are as follows:
