Chamber looks to stimulate local economy

[February 04, 2010]  The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce is looking to stimulate the local economy with the "Chamber Stimulus Raffle."

Starting Monday, the public may purchase Stimulus Raffle tickets for $5 at the chamber office and the following chamber businesses: Eaton Corp, Graue Inc, MKS, Blades Hair & Nail Salon, CEFCU, Regions Bank, Illini Bank, Guzzardo's, Logan Lanes, Lincoln IGA, Culver's, Mary Todd's Hallmark, Lincoln Public Library, Ace Hardware, Goody's, Lincoln Park District, and three State Bank of Lincoln locations: downtown Lincoln, the Woodlawn Road facility and in Walmart.

The winning tickets will be drawn on April 15 during the Graue Inc. Chamber Mixer, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Stimulus Raffle will boost the local economy directly with $3,000 in "Chamber Bucks" awarded in three prizes to be spent locally at participating chamber businesses. The top prize will be $2,000, second prize $750 and third prize $250.

The raffle is designed to support the chamber's mission in serving the membership through a commitment to the economic prosperity of Lincoln/Logan County. Currently over 80 chamber members accept Chamber Bucks.
