Lincoln Police Department reports for Monday, Jan. 11
Fender-bender on South Kickapoo
Accident occurred Jan. 8 approximately 150 feet south of Broadway
Street on South Kickapoo.

37-year-old female, Lincoln; 2006 Ford Freestar

Jerry E. Conoway, 62-year-old male,
Lincoln; 1995 Nissan King Cab
Lessen was in a parking spot, preparing to back out. She said she
looked but did not see any oncoming traffic. Conoway’s vehicle hit
Lessen’s vehicle on the back bumper on the driver’s side. Conoway
said he tried to swerve to avoid Lessen but was unable to do so.
Icy conditions cause collision with stoplight on Lincoln Parkway
Accident occurred Jan. 8 at the intersection of Lincoln Parkway
and Fifth Street.
- Charlie A. Benton, 29-year-old male, Greenview; 1996 Ford
F250
Benton said he was northbound on Lincoln Parkway and attempted to
turn onto Fifth Street. Icy road conditions caused the vehicle to
slide, striking and knocking down the stoplight on the northeast
corner of the intersection.
