Women drop 2nd game The LCU women's team lost by a score of
82-22 in their second game of the season.
Kim Harden scored 11 points for the Red Lions while Brittany
Schmidt had four, Sheena Cooper three, Jonni McCaslin two and
Danielle Cerqueira two.
Eureka College placed four in double figures, with Jaquie
Flanagan and Lisa Byard each scoring 19. Lauren Snopek added 13 and
Kristen Garst 12.
Eureka outrebounded LCU 41-21 while shooting 49.2 percent from
the field and 76.9 percent from the free-throw line. The Red Lions
did make three out of four free throws.
The LCU women will next play at Grace Bible College in Wyoming,
Mich., on Friday and at Kuyper College in Grand Rapids, Mich., on
Saturday.
Men lose close contest
The LCU men's team outscored Eureka 40-34 in the second half but
came up two points short in an 84-86 loss.
LCU had a very balanced attack, putting four players in double
figures: Jon Wallace 26, Landan Callahan 19 (including 4 of 8
3-pointers), Chris Lawson 16 (4 of 6 3-pointers) and Josiah Brock
13.

The balanced scoring for the Red Lions was not enough to overcome
Kameron Bell's 32, Michael Zasada's 24 and Jordan Kindred's 10.
Lincoln was outrebounded 39-25 while shooting 46.3 percent from
the field.
The Red Lions will be in action again Friday and Saturday at the
Concordia Tournament in St. Louis.
