 The Lincoln Jaycees announce the installation of their 
			2010 board of directors. The following officers were installed at 
			the most recent board meeting: Josh Utterback, 57th Lincoln Jaycees 
			president; Shelley Hackett, internal vice president; Chrystal 
			Ballenger, external vice president; Thomas Hackett, state director; 
			Angie Petro, secretary-treasurer; and Perry Payne, chairman of the 
			board.  The Lincoln Jaycees, a not-for-profit organization that serves 
			Lincoln and the surrounding communities, gives young people between 
			the ages of 18 and 40 the tools they need to build the bridges of 
			success for themselves in the areas of business development, 
			management skills, individual training, community service and 
			international connections.  The Lincoln Jaycees host various community activities such as an 
			Easter egg hunt and Angel Tree. The Jaycees have a variety of 
			management and fundraising projects, including their annual Haunted 
			House.  Membership meetings are the third Thursday of every month at 7 
			p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Meetings are open to the 
			public.  
 
			 Ellen Olson has been named the December Senior-of-the-Month 
			at Mount Pulaski High School. Ellen is the daughter of John and Ann 
			Olson of Elkhart. Ellen has been an active member of the Class of 2010, 
			participating in FFA, National Honor Society, WYSE academic team, 
			Spanish Club, Drama Club and Spirit Squad. She was a four-year 
			member of the award-winning Lady Toppers volleyball team and is a 
			high honor roll student. She was elected freshman class senator and 
			junior class president. She has also served as an office helper.  She is a member of 4-H, St. Patrick's Youth Group, the National 
			Junior Swine Association and the Illinois Club Pig Association.  Ellen plans to attend Lake Land College on a livestock judging 
			scholarship. She will major in agriculture.  The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored jointly by Johnson's 
			Food Center and Mount Pulaski Pharmacy. Monthly winners receive $100 
			savings bonds and are eligible to compete for the $1,000 
			Senior-of-the-Year award.
