[February 04, 2010]  MOUNT PULASKI -- The residents of Vonderlieth Living Center will be taking a Las Vegas vacation! Actually, Vegas will be coming to them. The Activity Room will be transformed into the Velvet Lounge Casino for an afternoon of "hold 'em or fold 'em" fun, beginning at 2 on Wednesday. Family is invited, but leave your wallets at home -- we're playing for "Vonderlieth bucks."

On Jan. 26, those who came away with winnings will shop at the first "Vonderlieth White Elephant Sale," also in the Activity Room, and put those Vonderlieth bucks to use.

The headline act on Jan. 20 will feature Tim Searby, newly appointed director of Castle Manor, the supportive living facility being built near Walmart in Lincoln. Searby is well-known in the area as a talented singer and musician. He will also have information available about Castle Manor and the supportive living concept.

The supportive living model of senior housing was designed to allow people of varied financial levels, including Medicaid recipients, to enjoy the benefits of assisted living. If you have ever considered assisted living or nursing home care, you will want to spend the afternoon at Vonderlieth Living Center to learn more about what could be your next home.
