[January 15, 2010]  The Logan County Genealogical & Historical Society will host a program by Tim McCormick entitled "Lincoln Historical Architecture." The event will take place Monday, Jan. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the LCGHS building, 114 N. Chicago St. in Lincoln. Members and the public are invited to attend.

The Lincoln Jaycees announce the installation of their 2010 board of directors. The following officers were installed at the most recent board meeting: Josh Utterback, 57th Lincoln Jaycees president; Shelley Hackett, internal vice president; Chrystal Ballenger, external vice president; Thomas Hackett, state director; Angie Petro, secretary-treasurer; and Perry Payne, chairman of the board.

The Lincoln Jaycees, a not-for-profit organization that serves Lincoln and the surrounding communities, gives young people between the ages of 18 and 40 the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service and international connections.

The Lincoln Jaycees host various community activities such as an Easter egg hunt and Angel Tree. The Jaycees have a variety of management and fundraising projects, including their annual Haunted House.

Membership meetings are the third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Meetings are open to the public.
